Building Quiet Stays by the Water
Lakehouse began with one timber cabin on a still lake and a simple idea: rest should feel easy. Today our hosts look after a small set of stays among pines, ridges and water, each kept warm, clean and ready for a slow few days.

Read All ReviewsExactly the escape we needed.
We woke to mist on the lake and did not look at a screen for three days. The cabin was spotless, the fire was laid and the kettle was waiting.
Better than the photos.
The Birchline house is even calmer in person. Huge windows, a deep bath and nothing but pine trees outside. We have already booked again for winter.
Thoughtful down to the details.
From the check-in note to the local walking map, everything felt considered. Our children still talk about the stars from the deck.
